If you are in crisis, please get help now — email is too slow. Contact your local emergency services, or a crisis line: 988 in the US, the Samaritans on 116 123 in the UK and Ireland, or your local equivalent. They are available now, and free.

Common questions
How do I cancel Premium?
In your Apple account settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Nightshore. Cancelling there stops the renewal. Deleting your Nightshore data does not cancel a subscription.
I paid but Premium isn't showing
Open the upgrade screen in Nightshore and tap Restore purchases. That re-attaches your App Store subscription to the account on this device. If you have reinstalled or changed device without linking an email, your subscription can be restored but your recovery history cannot.
I lost my phone — can I get my history back?
Only if you linked an email address in Settings beforehand. Nightshore accounts are anonymous by default, which means there is nothing that identifies the data as yours without that link. We cannot recover it for you.
Site blocking isn't working
Check that the DNS profile is still installed: iOS Settings → General → VPN, DNS & Device Management. iOS can remove it, and some networks or another VPN can override it. Site blocking is a speed bump, not a security control — see the terms.
Something in the community feed is abusive
Tap Report on the post or the reply. That hides it from your feed straight away — you do not have to see it again, and you do not have to wait for us. Once three different people have reported the same thing, it is hidden from everyone.
If the problem is the person rather than the one post, tap Block instead. That hides the post or reply you blocked from, and everything they write from then on — posts and replies both. It works forwards rather than backwards: their older posts stay in your feed, because sweeping them all out at once would show you which of the anonymous posts around you shared an author. Block or report those too if you need to. They are not told, and a block cannot be undone from inside the app, because there is no name or handle here to put on an unblock list — the app says so before you confirm.
You can also email us at support@nightshore.app. We read every message and act on what needs acting on, but we cannot promise a turnaround. That is exactly why the two controls above work on their own, without us.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete my data in the app. It is immediate, permanent and cannot be undone.
It takes your community posts with it. Nothing else removes them all, and nothing removes any of them on a timer — posts stay, and so do the lines of text on them, until somebody takes them down. Three things you can do short of deleting everything, all from inside the app: you can remove any post of your own from Community → Your posts → Remove this post (it comes out of the feed for everyone straight away and the words are deleted, with no undo); you can change or remove just the line on one of your posts from the same page, leaving the moment there (the post is then marked EDITED); and you can delete a reply you wrote from the replies sheet.
